GRAVEL TOURS

Our destination partner, radrevier.ruhr, organizes the tour program for you during the Gravel Ground. Each day, a variety of gravel rides catered to all tour requirements will be offered free of charge by dedicated guides. You can register on-site at the radrevier.ruhr info booth. The prerequisites for participating in the tours are:

  • Registration for the tour beforehand at the info booth of radrevier.ruhr (restricted to 12 people per tour)
  • Signing a waiver for the tour (everyone rides at their own risk)
  • Wearing a helmet is obviously a clear requirement.
  • The bike should be suitable for gravel. In addition to classic gravel bikes, MTB hardtails are also allowed. We kindly ask for understanding that participation with trekking bikes or fully suspended MTBs is not reasonable.

Our tour selection

The character of the tour quickly and simply explains what to expect on the tour:

  • Scenic Gravel Tour - The focus is on relaxed gravel riding together
  • Beginner Tour - It's especially cozy. Ideal for gaining first experiences on a gravel bike.
  • Sportive - The tour is more demanding. Less chit-chat, more vigorous pedaling. BUT: these tours are not races!
  • Sightseeing - Less gravel, more touristic tour. It's about getting to know the region a bit.
  • Family tour - A beginner tour "only" for families with kids. Fun biking and playground time are most important.
  • E-Bike Tour - While e-bike riders must "submit" on other tours, full E-Power is allowed on these tours. Without "E," it's difficult to keep up uphill, so better not to sign up here.
  • Night Rides - A nighttime adventure. Suitable only if you feel comfortable biking in the dark.

Important information about the tour program:

  • Tours are neither signposted nor are there refreshment points. Those wanting to experience the tours more individually can easily retrace them with the Komoot tracks.
  • The tours are not races, the pace is determined by the slowest person. Please check out with the guide when leaving a group tour. Whoever signs up for a tour and does not show up for the start obstructs important starting places and delays the tour's start. Therefore, please unsubscribe beforehand!
  • If planning a one-way tour with a carbon frame, please bring appropriate equipment for mounting on the bike rack yourself.

The team from radrevier.ruhr and all the guides are really looking forward to showing you the great gravel destination of Ruhrgebiet and their personal highlights!
