Let's be honest! There's one thing we can't offer you at GRAVEL PEAKS: the lift up the mountain. You'll have to get there yourself, whether it's with a relaxed pedal stroke and a smile on your face, or grimly fighting your way up with a curse for every “damn meter of elevation” on your lips. But we promise that when you reach the top, your jaw will drop because the panorama will captivate you with its power, you'll pull out your phone and take pictures, you'll pimp your accounts with new status photos, and your friends at home will throw their pens in the corner in envy. And they'll send you this message back: “Damn! I should have come with you!”

We are Delius Klasing with the magazines BIKE and TOUR. We have been doing the Transalp for over 25 years and have been creating breathtaking experiences with bikes in the great outdoors ever since. We can't do anything else, we haven't learned anything else. With mountain bikes, road bikes, and now gravel bikes. That's our promise, that's what we offer, that's GRAVEL PEAKS. It's also a small transalpine journey. These genes are in there, they're in us: we love this change of panoramas, landscapes, the daily adventure full of uncertainties and surprises. Yes, that's still in there too. However, it will be feasible and enjoyable for everyone because there are no extreme altitude differences. We adapt, turn the “butt in the saddle” dial down a notch, and turn the dials for culture, good food, and relaxed moments together up significantly.

Nevertheless, it's still a sport, a race with timekeeping! That's what drives us too. Do you want to get on the podium, flex your muscles until the lactate flows and your pain receptors flash red warning lights? Go for it! That's GRAVEL PEAKS too, a six-day bike race where everyone can show what they're made of. The whole thing, as it should be, with a dignified award ceremony and leader jerseys. Or do you just want to battle it out with your friends, compete for the golden pineapple, for 100th place or something like that, or simply to see who pays for the next round? Feel free! Or do you not care about your time and just want to complete the course, taking on your own little challenge day after day? You're welcome! GRAVEL PEAKS is all of that!

We don't think in categories at first. It's a big community ride in a spectacular setting where everyone can just have fun with their friends. Or even better: make new friends – on the route, perhaps while taking a selfie together in front of the mountains, or in the evening at a get-together in a cool event location.
