Yes, there will be a permanent parking lot. At the accreditation you will receive a parking permit for this permanent parking lot which will be signposted on-site. It’s for free for you and the local police will check it in regular intervals.
We strongly recommend letting a retailer check your racing bicycle before the event. Further, we advise you to rely on your usually used material so that you hopefully do not have to experience any unexpected surprises.
We strongly recommend taking the following things with you (maybe in a daypack):
- warm clothes (arm warmers or a fleece pullover)
- rain protection (cagoule, rain trousers)
- survival blanket
- tools
- money / ID card
- a small “first aid kit”
- participant ID
- replacement tube and bicycle tire inflator
- mobile phone
The bike box transport from the start to the finish is only meant for those cyclists who will go home directly from the finish. Those cyclists who have booked the return transport do not need any bike box, since the racing bikes will be packed securely to ensure a safe transport.
Three weeks before the start of the event, all participants will receive an e-mail from us with a link to the query portal. All hotel data must then be entered there carefully for each individual stage location.
If an accommodation package has been booked through HOST GmbH, it's only necessary to enter "booked over Hots" in the query. HOST GmbH will transmit the hotel data to us.
The participants can go to public camping sites in every stage town; camping site fees are charged.
By the end of Januar you will find on our homepage the contact data of the individual stage towns which you should use for your hotel bookings.
Please note that some hotels cannot take any reservation for one night so far ahead. For instance, some of the hotels do not take any reservation before the end of March/beginning of April. Our experience in the last years showed that the stage towns are optimally prepared for the event and that there are enough rooms for all participants. Additionally, you still have the possibility to book a hotel room on-site in the finish area of the respective stage town.
Beyond that, you can also directly book a complete hotel accommodation package via our service partner HOST.

You will receive an e-mail during the last week before the event. This e-mail will lead you to the GPS data. Beyond that, there will be a stand at the accreditation where you can directly get the GPS data played onto your GPS device.
Preparing your bike for the Tour Transalp is essential to avoid breakdowns and technical issues. Here are some tips and tricks:
Technical Check-Up • Gears: Make sure your gears are properly adjusted and shifting smoothly. The Bike Support team is available the day before the race if you need help fine-tuning anything. • Brakes: Check your brakes every morning before departure. You’ll need full braking power in the Alps. If there’s a problem, reach out to Bike Support—they’re happy to check the condition of your brake pads and rotors for you. • Wheels & Tires: Inspect your tires for cracks or cuts. Replacements are available at Bike Support—and in emergencies, even mobile along the route. • Bearings & Bolts: Check bottom bracket, headset, and hubs for play; tighten bolts according to torque specs. If you’re unsure, come to the Pre-Race Check on Saturday before the race.
Adjusting Your Gearing If you need a more climb-friendly setup, Bike Support is ready to help with advice and spare parts.
Bike Fit & Comfort • A good riding position prevents pain on long stages. If you’re experiencing pressure points or numbness, a saddle swap or handlebar adjustment might help. • Ergonomic bar tape options or gel inserts can reduce vibrations. Bike Support is happy to assist here too.
Tools & Spare Parts •Multitool, tire levers, spare tube: Always carry them with you. • Mini pump or CO₂ cartridges for quick roadside fixes. • Spare derailleur hanger for emergencies in case your derailleur takes a hit. IMPORTANT: Hangers are very specific to each bike—Bike Support can’t stock every variant. Be sure to bring a matching spare hanger for your bike. Your local shop can help you find the right one.
The list of all alternative locations can be found later here
Should one cyclist end the tour prematurely, his/her team partner still has the possibility to finish the tour alone (outside the official ranking). With this, he/she would be ranked as an individual finisher and could still receive his/her finisher tricot.
The stages usually start at 9 a.m.
There is a cut-off time for each stage. Anyone who crosses the timing mat later will be penalised one hour according to the regulations, but will remain in the classification. This means that all those who complete the full kilometres remain in the classification and fulfil all the finisher criteria.

Participants staying overnight in hotels or boarding houses will get their bag directly at their accommodation. On the next morning, the bag must be delivered to the reception by 6:30 am at the latest.
Those participants who are accommodated in the camp will get their bags placed close to their sleeping places and can pick them up directly. Every participant must then bring his/her bag to an extra designated site “truck camping bags” between 06:30 am to 07:30 am (at the latest).
On the Sunday after the event, we offer a return transfer by coach back to the starting point. The bikes will be transported back by lorry and will be loaded on Saturday near the finish area.
