The Bosch eMTB Challenge incorporates elements from enduro, trail, and orienteering races, but is specifically designed for riding with electric assistance. Within the challenge, riders must complete several stages – a varied mix of uphill, downhill, and orienteering routes. Fun and excitement are guaranteed!
As part of the Bosch eMTB Challenge, the German E-Enduro Championship will be held for the first time at the BIKE Festival in Willingen on May 30, 2026. All participants in the Pro category who are registered with Sportnation Germany and hold a valid UCI Elite or U23 license (minimum age 19) will automatically be included in the standings of the German E-Enduro Championship. All riders will also continue to be ranked in the corresponding category of the eMTB Challenge.
Note Regarding the German E-Enduro Championship
Due to a decision by the German Cycling Federation’s Executive Committee, day licenses are NOT permitted for the championship standings. Participation in the championship standings is therefore only possible with a valid annual license (Elite/U23). Without an annual license (Elite/U23), it is still possible to compete in the Pro category of the Bosch eMTB Challenge, but without being eligible for the German Championship title.
The eMTB Challenge is designed for different performance levels and is therefore suitable for all mountain bikers. Whether you are a trained professional athlete, a hobby biker interested in cycling, or an outdoor enthusiast who rides occasionally. To secure a place on the podium, it's not just fitness and motor power that count, but also riding technique and orientation skills. The most versatile eMTB rider wins.
There are three categories: "Amateur Rider” for beginners and hobby riders, “Advanced Rider” for advanced eBikers and the new “Pro Rider” category for professionals. All Advanced Riders will complete an additional stage, which is highly technical, demanding and therefore only suitable for advanced riders. The Pro Riders will complete an additional Pro Stage.
Requirements for your paricipation
